Christine Rivera, BSN, RN, graduated in 2018 from the Cedar Crest College School of Nursing, Allentown. She is currently completing her MSN in Executive Leadership at Chamberlain School of Nursing. Prior to joining Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), she worked in other institutions providing bedside care.
Christine joined LVHN in 2019 working in the community as a home health care case manager and focused on the delivery of quality skilled nursing. She then transitioned to Home Health and Hospice Patient Care Specialist and Trained Medical Interpreter for almost two years. Her main responsibilities were patient care, streamlining of the orientation process and the development of education to promote quality patient outcomes and to help support staff adopt the most current evidence-based practices.
Her professional background includes six sigma lean leadership training, lean management, self-directed work teams, cross-functional training, manufacturing, and safety quality processes in the pharmaceutical environment.
Born in a South Korean-Puerto Rican family, Christine lived more than 20 years in Maunabo, Puerto Rico. Since she moved to the Lehigh Valley, Christine’s passion has been to decrease the discrepancies in access between medical care and education within the Lehigh Valley’s diverse communities.
