Crystal Perez is the Assistant Director of Health Services with the Allentown School District and is deeply committed to promoting health and wellness to the Allentown community.
First and foremost, Crystal is a nurse who obtained her bachelors of science in nursing from The College of New Jersey. After working at the bedside in cardiovascular nursing for 12 years, she made the transition into school nursing. Crystal obtained her certified school nurse certification followed by her masters in school nursing and leadership from Eastern Mennonite University. Crystal served as a middle school nurse and a high school nurse before becoming the health services administrator for the district.
Crystal initiated one of Pennsylvania’s first school-based immunization programs, which allows school nurses to provide school required vaccines at school during the school day. She was recognized as the 2023 Pennsylvania Immunization Champion for Innovation and awarded the 2023 Association of Immunization Managers and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Immunization Champion Award. Her mission is to protect student health, promote academic success and preserve community relationships.
Crystal and her husband Alex are parents to one amazing son, Andrew. As a family they enjoy traveling and going for walks with their goldendoodle, London. They are also active members of their church and teach religious education on Sundays.
