Carol Andersen is the CEO of Bloom For Women, whose mission is to provide sanctuary and a continuum of care to heal, empower and employ women survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation.

Bloom’s two-year residential program is part of a network of more than 75 programs that follow the nationally recognized Thistle Farms, Nashville, model that has been restoring the lives of women survivors since 1997.

Carol is the founder of the Bloom program that opened the Bangor home in 2016 and became CEO following the Truth for Women and Bloom merger in 2021. She has a bachelor of science degree from Cairn University and has been working with women survivors with histories of sexual exploitation and violence for the past 15 years.  She was named one of the Lehigh Valley Style women of influence in 2022.

When Carol is not busy working, she enjoys hiking with her husband Steve, creating art, knitting and spending time with her family, including brand-new granddaughter Lenora Mae.
