Frank Messina
Frank Messina earned his degree in industrial engineering management from Elizabethtown College.
He then went on to complete over 10 years of dedicated industrial engineering work for Ingram Micro, Kenco and Phillips Pet Food. This involved designing warehouse layouts, making process improvements, developing labor standards and conducting cost estimates and reductions analyses. Handling large amounts of data and learning SQL made Frank realize he enjoyed working with data. He was able to transition to a more business intelligence-focused role and started turning data into visual dashboards to drive results. This eventually led him to Lehigh Valley Health Network and his current role for the Pool Center for Health Analytics.
Frank sources data that is generally publicly available to determine the current state of our service footprint and highlight where the most in-need areas. This is how he developed the most recent Community Health Needs Assessment interactive dashboard.
