Margaret McConnell

As Executive Director of WDIY 88.1 FM – Lehigh Valley’s Public Radio station for 30 years - Margaret McConnell leads initiatives that range from developing fundraising strategies and brand awareness campaigns to recruiting and training volunteers and hosts. She specializes in creating programs and events that celebrate diversity, cultural relevance, and community engagement. Her efforts help ensure the sustainability of key organizations and their long-term impact on the region.

Margaret spent 20 years working in marketing and communications in various industries.  She has a deep knowledge and commitment to the Lehigh Valley community, and served on numerous non-profit boards and committees. She is especially driven and ambitious in the pursuit of a community that works together to lift those less fortunate and equalize the playing field for the marginalized and underrepresented.
