Sean McCormick, PhD, MS Director of Community Innovations

Dr. McCormick’s work spans numerous areas important to Leonard Parker Pool Institute for Health. He focuses on health equity, social determinants of health, disease prevention, community and cross-sector partnerships, strategic planning, capacity building and systems change. Dr. McCormick earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from Temple University and a Master of Science in Psychology from Drexel University, both in Philadelphia. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

Dr. McCormick brings extensive experience in public health program leadership, having served as Associate Director of Public Health Programs at Latino Connection, Harrisburg, Pa., Assistant Director at Health Promotion Council, Philadelphia, and as a postdoctoral fellow at Temple University’s Center for Public Health Law Research. He is also a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist.
