John D. Stanley, Esq.

John D. Stanley, Esq., has been a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network Board of Trustees since 2011. He is the retired Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of Air Products. In this role, he was responsible for the company’s legal, corporate secretary, corporate risk, information technology, global business support services, human resources, communications, government relations, mergers and acquisitions and corporate security functions. He also served as the company’s chief compliance officer. 

Stanley holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Lafayette College and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he served on the Law Review and graduated with honors. Prior to joining Air Products, Stanley served a federal judicial clerkship with the Honorable Norma Shapiro and practiced employment law at Drinker, Biddle and Reath in Philadelphia. Stanley currently serves on the boards of DeSales University, the Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority (Vice Chairman), Lehigh Valley Industrial Park, the Lehigh Valley Partnership and the Community Music School Endowment Fund, is a member of the Executive Committee of the Downtown Allentown Community Development Initiative and chairs the Advisory Council for Building 21.
